Among other things, this includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.safety-services.at\/en\/risikobeurteilung\/\">risk assessment<\/a> of the machine. Instructions for use and an EC declaration of conformity must also be drawn up and handed over to the customer together with the machine.<\/p>\n<h2>For machinery operators<\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Under Austria&#8217;s Employee Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz), a hazard analysis is always required whenever work equipment (such as machinery) or its conditions of use have been modified to a greater extent than intended by the original manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">In Germany, the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung, BetrSichV) always requires a hazard assessment to be carried out, even for CE-marked work equipment.<\/p>\n<h2>For employers<\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Under the Employee Protection Act, employers are obliged to identify and assess the hazards to the safety and health of their employees.
