4S prepares a written workplace evaluation for you, as required of every employer by the Austrian Employee Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, ASchG).
According to Section 4(1) ASchG – identification and assessment of hazards – it states:
“Employers are obliged to identify and assess the hazards existing for the safety and health of employees. In doing so, the principles of hazard prevention under Section 7 must be applied.”
When a review becomes due
The evaluation is not a one-off measure – it must be reviewed and adapted regularly. Under Section 4(5) ASchG, this applies in particular after accidents, in the case of work-related illnesses, when new work equipment, substances or work procedures are introduced, when new findings emerge, and at the reasoned request of the Labour Inspectorate.
What you end up with
A safety and health protection document under Section 5 ASchG with the minimum content required by the Documentation Ordinance (DOK-VO) – complete, up to date, and ready to present to the Labour Inspectorate if needed.
Process
- Survey of the workplaces and activities, where applicable based on an existing, earlier evaluation.
- Identification and assessment of the hazards on site.
- You receive the safety and health protection document with the necessary measures.
Who this is for
For every employer in Austria – especially if the existing evaluation is no longer up to date, new work equipment or work procedures have been introduced, or no written evaluation exists yet.
Not sure whether your workplace evaluation is complete or needs to be updated? Contact 4S – I will support you in carrying it out in line with the applicable regulations.
Are you delivering machinery into German-speaking markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)? 4S can also act as your German-speaking point of contact on site and support the entire project from a safety-engineering perspective. Technical documents are prepared directly in German or English; a Spanish or Swedish version is translated on request.
