This 1-day machinery modification workshop for machine operators, control cabinet builders, and machinery integrators gives an overview of the requirements for existing machinery under the Austrian Employee Protection Act (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, ASchG) and the Work Equipment Ordinance (AM-VO), as well as the requirements for modifying machinery.
If a modification increases the machine’s performance or extends its function, you may become the manufacturer of the machine yourself – with the obligation to carry out a complete CE conformity assessment procedure under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC or, from 20 January 2027, the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. Our Conversion Assessment service provides an initial evaluation of this.

This workshop is offered regularly. The dates in Vienna (4S office) are limited to small groups of 2 to a maximum of 4 people. If you would like to register more people, we can arrange a separate date and training location. An in-house workshop at your company is of course also possible.
