Validation

4S prepares a written validation of your machine. The validation is carried out on the fully assembled, functional machine – it verifies whether the safety functions required by the safety concept or the risk assessment have actually been implemented correctly and function as intended.

What happens during validation

The correct function of the machine is checked, supplemented by targeted fault simulations – in other words, it is actively tested whether a safety function is triggered reliably even in the event of a fault. For new machines, the validation report documents the essential health and safety requirements under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC or the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, as well as any deviations.

Process

  1. Preparation of the validation plan by 4S, based on the risk assessment, the safety concept, and the Performance Level calculation.
  2. On-site inspection of the fully assembled machine, including fault simulations.
  3. You receive the written validation report with the results and any deviations.
